A man collapses during a cricket match in Maharashtra and dies of a suspected heart attack

A man died after a suspected heart attack while playing cricket at a venue in Jalna, Maharashtra. The incident occurred on December 25. Vijay Patel, the victim, was conversing with another individual on the non-striker end. Patel, a native of Nala Sopara near Mumbai, slumped while walking to the crease due of unease. Some people saw Patel fall to the ground and ran to save him, but they were unsuccessful. On Christmas, a cricket match was organized at the Dr Fraser Boys Ground in Jalna.Although the reason of Patel's death has not been officially confirmed, he is thought to have died of a heart attack.

"He fainted around 11:30 a.m. while competing in the Christmas Trophy competition here. It is believed he had a heart attack. Attempts to revive him using CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) were unsuccessful. "We are awaiting the post-mortem report," a police official told news agency PTI.

This is not the first time a man has died as the result of a heart attack.Earlier this month, a 31-year-old technician died in Mumbai of a heart attack while playing cricket at Azad Maidan. According to reports, despite having chest trouble, the victim continued to play and fell while out running.

Imran Patel, a 35-year-old professional cricketer, died in November of a major heart arrest while playing in a league match at Pune's Garware stadium. The man fainted unexpectedly while walking back to the pavilion owing to chest and arm pain, scaring both players and onlookers.
