The Sri Lankan women cricket team set up the final clash of the Asian Games 2023 against India after defeating Pakistan by six wickets, and the final clash will take place on Monday. Sri Lanka had decided to bowl first, and their bolwers wasted no time in proving the decision of their captain, Chamari Athapaththu. Udeshika Prabodhani (3/21) and Kavisha Dilhari (2/15) were the standout bowlers for Sri Lanka, who played amazingly well against the batters of Pakistan.
Shawaal Zulfiqar was the top scorer, as she scored 16 runs, Omaama Sohail scored 10, and wicketkeeper and batter Muneeba Ali scored 13 runs, as they were the only other two players to touch the double digit mark as Pakistan got bundled out for 75/9 in 20 overs.
While chasing the target, Pakistan did give Sri Lanka some tension as captain Chamari lost her wicket after scoring 14 runs, and Sri Lanka was at 35 after losing 3 wickets in 7.1 overs. But Harishitha, who scored 23 runs and Nilakshi de Silva 18, helved the team, winning the match with six wickets and 21 balls to go.
