After Sanju Samson Century Former Indian Cricketers were Visibly Excited

Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh and ex-coach Ravi Shastri were visibly excited after Sanju Samson's record-breaking century during the first T20I against South Africa at Kingsmead, Durban. Samson became the first Indian to score consecutive centuries in T20 internationals, achieving this remarkable feat with a dazzling 107 runs off just 50 balls. His innings included ten sixes and seven fours, leading India to a total of 202-8, which proved too much for South Africa, who collapsed for 141 in 17.5 overs.

Samson reached his century in just 47 balls, marking the fastest century by an Indian against South Africa and the sixth-fastest overall in T20Is. Following his explosive performance, both Yuvraj and Shastri took to social media to express their admiration. Yuvraj tweeted, “Sanju you beauty! Such a treat to watch that stroke play,” while Shastri simply exclaimed, “Sanjooo..... Samsonnn. Special.”

Despite losing his opening partner Abhishek Sharma early on, Samson quickly found his rhythm, scoring 50 off 27 balls before accelerating further. His outstanding performance not only secured a 61-run victory for India but also maintained their unbeaten record at Kingsmead since 2007.
