After Team Victory Against SRH, Faf du Plessis’ Blunt ‘Virat Kohli Remark’
On Thursday, captain of Royal Challengers Bengaluru Faf du Plessis was a happy man after his team broke a six-game losing streak with a 35-run win over Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL.
At the post-match conference, Plessis said, “In the last two games, we've shown great signs of fighting.SRH game was 270 plus; we got 260. KKR game as well: 1 run. We've been close for a while, but you need to win matches to gain confidence as a group. I will sleep easier tonight. You can't speak confidence into the group; you can't fake confidence into the group. The only thing that gives confidence is performance.”
While Virat Kohli has been the top scorer for them, Du Plessis is happy that other batters are also getting back among the runs.
"The competition is so strong; the teams are so strong that you'll get hurt if you're not at 100 percent. More guys are scoring runs now. In the first half of the tournament, only Virat scored runs. Greeny's scoring runs now will be massive for him."
