After Win Mitchell Marsh takes a sly dig at Pakistan after the win and says, ‘Pretty funny way to end'

The second test match between the Australia and Pakistan cricket teams had an expected end, as the visitors lost by 79 runs at the MCG on Friday. The Pakistani team extended its losing spree Down Under to 16 without winning one, with the last one coming back in 1999. Pat Cummins bagged five, while Mitchell Starc ended with four wickets, as Pakistan was bundled out for 237 in the fourth inning.

At one stage, they were 219/5 and lost their last five wickets in the next 18 runs. The Aussie all-rounder described the win aptly: “Pretty funny way to end, but it was a tense day of cricket.”

“They fought extremely well right through the day. Another one that depended on a bit of luck.” As for his catch to dismiss Agha Salma, who scored a fifty, Marsh added, “I nearly lost it and did well to hang on. This feels like a lot; when Babar was in Rizwan as well, it looked like they’d take it away from us, but our bowling experience counted in the end.”
