Ahead of IND vs BAN Test series Bangladesh Cricket Team arrive in Chennai
Ahead of the IND vs BAN 1st Test the Bangladesh cricket team has arrived in Chennai. Najmul Hossain Shanto’s men will start their preparations for the upcoming Tests and T20Is. Coming from a historic 2-0 Test series victory over Pakistan away from home, the Tigers are on an all-time high and are aiming to win their first-ever Test match against India.
Both teams have already announced the squad for the Tests. Bangladesh will miss Shoriful Islam, who’s out with a groin injury, while India won’t have the services of Mohammed Shami, who hasn’t fully recovered yet. Rishabh Pant will return to Test cricket after 20 months, and YashDayal has also earned himself a maiden India call-up.
26-year-old Jaker Ali Anik has earned a maiden Test call-up, having already represented Bangladesh in 26 T20Is. The squads for the T20I series haven’t been named and are expected to come out after the first Test is over.
