Ahead of IPL 2024 In a tough situation, KSCA calls for a special meeting to discuss water scarcity in Bengaluru

Karnataka's capital, Bengaluru, is currently grappling with a water crisis. And there is no doubt that this could affect the upcoming IPL 2024 matches at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. RCB will take on PBKS on March 25 in Bengaluru’s first game of IPL 2024.
This leaves one wondering what miracle the KSCA can pull off. The amount of water taken to prepare a pitch for an IPL game isn’t a small amount. With such a dire crisis in hand, one can only wonder how the city will gear itself up for hosting three matches in two weeks.
The Karnataka State Cricket Association has called for a meeting to discuss the water crisis in the city. While speaking, a KSCA member said that any decision on the issue would be taken after the meeting of the KSCA. The source adds that the board will issue a statement after the meeting.
The KSCA source, while declining to comment further on the issue, said, “There will be a meeting conducted on this issue. Until then, no statement can be given regarding that matter.”
The capital of Karnataka is reeling from a water crisis owing to poor rainfall. The demand for water tankers across the city has increased multifold over the last few weeks.
