As the Mumbai Indians are heading toward a sure-shot exit from the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League, fans want the franchise to rest key players like Jasprit Bumrah and Rohit Sharma ahead of the T20 World Cup. The likes of Rohit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, and Surya Kumar Yadav are expected to play a major role for Team India at the T20 World Cup, and with the campaign of the Mumbai Indians all but over, they are placed last on the table with only 6 points from 11 matches. It makes little sense for them to keep their key players going unless the players decide to give themselves more game time.
However, the thought process of fans is currently not in alignment with the think tank of the Mumbai Indians, which revealed NamanDhir as the all-rounder of Mi at a press conference before the match of his team against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Wankhede Stadium on Monday.
He said, “Nothing like that is happening for now and there has been no discussion about this, but at the end of the day, the management of the team is going to make the final decision.”
