Ahead of the T20 World Cup warm-up clash Shakib Al Hasan says Rohit Sharma ‘can take the game away single-handedly’
The star all-rounder of Bangladesh cricket team Shakib Al Hasan has praised the captain of Indian cricket team Rohit Sharma before their T20 World Cup warm-up match on June 1st in New York.
In a video uploaded, Shakib praised the captaincy of Rohit Sharma and his individual brilliance, saying that “Rohit Sharma has a tremendous record as a captain; all the players respect him a lot as a leader, and he can take the game away single-handedly from the opposition.”
This admiration for Rohit extends beyond the upcoming match. Notably, before the 2023 ODI World Cup, Shakib praised the selfless approach of Rohit to the game, suggesting it was something his teammate Tamim Iqbal could learn from.
Rohit Sharma’s captaincy for India has seen its share of successes and setbacks. While he has excelled in bilateral series, he has yet to secure an ICC title for the country.
