As per report, BCCI rejects Pakistan’s proposal to ferry India back & forth after every Champions Trophy match

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has dismissed the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) alleged proposal to fly the Indian team back to India after each game during the Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan. A report suggested that Pakistan had offered to facilitate India’s travel to Chandigarh or Delhi between matches due to uncertainties surrounding India’s willingness to visit Pakistan. However, anothet report quoted a BCCI official denying the existence of such a proposal and stating that the BCCI would reject it if it were made.

The BCCI official reiterated that the decision regarding India’s participation in Pakistan is in the hands of the Indian government. India is scheduled to play all their Champions Trophy matches in Lahore on February 20, 23, and March 2, 2025, but it is still unclear whether they will travel to Pakistan or if a hybrid model will be implemented by the ICC.

India has not toured Pakistan since 2008 due to ongoing geopolitical tensions, and since then, the two teams have only faced each other in ICC events. The situation remains unresolved as the tournament approaches.
