The National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) has expanded its Registered Testing Pool (RTP) roster for 2025, adding prominent Indian cricketers JaspritBumrah, Rishabh Pant, Suryakumar Yadav, and Shubman Gill. This move aims to enhance the agency’s anti-doping program by including more elite and centrally contracted athletes. The updated RTP now includes a total of 14 cricketers, comprising both men and women.
Other notable players on the list are Hardik Pandya, Sanju Samson, Tilak Varma, KL Rahul, YashasviJaiswal, ShreyasIyer, and Arshdeep Singh. Women cricketers ShafaliVerma, Deepti Sharma, and Renuka Singh Thakur are also part of the RTP. NADA’s Dope Control Officers will collect urine samples from these players during the upcoming IND vs ENG white-ball series.
The RTP was first established by NADA in 2019 and requires athletes to provide detailed whereabouts information for effective out-of-competition testing. This includes their residence address, training schedules, and a specific time slot each day when they can be tested. Athletes who fail to comply with these requirements may face penalties under anti-doping regulations.
