As per report, CSK to use RTM card on Devon Conway or Rachin Ravindra

As the IPL 2025 mega auction approaches, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are weighing their options on using the Right to Match (RTM) card for either Devon Conway or RachinRavindra. According to a source from TOI, Conway holds an advantage due to his wicket-keeping abilities, which would provide CSK with additional flexibility in their lineup. With the retention list set to be announced soon, fans are eagerly anticipating the team's strategy.

CSK plans to retain key players, including captain RuturajGaikwad for a substantial Rs 18 crore, and Sri Lankan pacer MatheeshaPathirana at Rs 14 crore. ShivamDube, recognized for his explosive batting, will be retained for Rs 11 crore, while all-rounder RavindraJadeja remains vital to the squad with a retention value of Rs 18 crore.

In a move that has sparked excitement among CSK supporters, legendary captain MS Dhoni is expected to be retained at Rs 4 crore as an “uncapped” player, following his last appearance for India in the 2019 World Cup. A TOI source noted that CSK is particularly keen on retaining Pathirana, who is likely to participate in other T20 leagues as well.
