As per report, If Jay Shah Becomes ICC Chairman, DDCA President Rohan Jaitely Likely To Be BCCI Secretary

The secretary of BCCI Jay Shah is likely to become the next ICC chairman. There are several reports suggesting that he has emerged as the leading candidate to succeed Greg Barclay in the top post. To secure his nomination, the ICC requires a proposer and a seconder. Reports also indicate that England and Australia are likely to back Jay Shah's candidature, further solidifying his bid for the top position.

A recent report has said that if Jay Shah becomes ICC chairman, Rohan Jaitely, who is the president of the Delhi and District Cricket Association, may become the BCCI secretary. Another report said Jaitely is leading the race among other candidates.

According to the rules of ICC each of the 16 current ICC directors must submit their nominations by August 27 to be considered for the chairmanship.

If Shah succeeds, he will become the youngest-ever ICC chief at the age of 36. His election would also make him the latest in a line of prominent Indians who have held the prestigious position, following in the footsteps of JagmohanDalmiya, SharadPawar, N. Srinivasan, and Shashank Manohar.
