As per report, KKR to release Rs 24.75 cr buy Mitchell Starc ahead of IPL 2025 auction after just one season
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are reportedly set to part ways with Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction. Starc remains the most expensive player in IPL history, with KKR paying a staggering ₹24.75 crore for him in the 2023 mini-auction. However, despite the hefty investment, his performances didn’t quite justify the price tag.Starc returned to the IPL after a long hiatus, and KKR went all out to secure his services, outbidding other franchises. However, his contribution in IPL 2024, where he took 17 wickets in 14 matches, fell short of expectations.
