As per Report, VVS Laxman set to be India’s head coach in South Africa

VVS Laxman will be stepping in as the head coach for India’s short white-ball tour of South Africa, replacing incumbent coach GautamGambhir, who will be in Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. This four-match Twenty20 International (T20I) series was recently arranged between the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Cricket South Africa (CSA). The matches will take place in Durban, Gqeberha, Centurion, and Johannesburg on November 8, 10, 13, and 15, respectively. The Indian team is expected to depart for South Africa around November 4, while the squad for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy will leave around November 10-11.

Supporting Laxman on the coaching staff will be several National Cricket Academy (NCA) coaches, including SairajBahutule, HrishikeshKanitkar, and Subhadeep Ghosh, who will serve as the bowling, batting, and fielding coaches, respectively. These staff members were part of the India Emerging side that competed in the Asia Emerging Cup in Oman.

Suryakumar Yadav will lead the 15-member squad for the tour. With the IPL auction approaching, the four T20Is will give franchises an opportunity to identify players who could be hotly pursued. The tour provides a platform for emerging talents to showcase their potential.
