Australia defeated India by five wickets because of the brilliant performance by Glenn Maxwell

The Australia cricket team beat India by five wickets in the third T20I match at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Tuesday. Glenn Maxwell scored an unbeaten 104 to take Australia to their first victory of the tournament. Matthew Wade scored an unbeaten 28 and stitched a partnership of 91 runs with Maxwell to win the match for the Aussies.
Earlier, India posted an imposing total of 222 runs in the first inning, courtesy of Ruturaj Gaikwad's maiden T20I century for India. Gaikwad became the first Indian batsman to achieve a century against Australia.
Gaikwad showcased a brilliant innings, scoring 123 runs in only 57 balls. Prior to the heroics of Gaikwad, Suryakumar Yadav played a brisk inning, contributing 39 runs. Tilak Varma also played a crucial supporting role, scoring an unbeaten 30 and participating in a remarkable 141-run partnership with Gaikwad.
In the bowling department for Australia, Jason Behrendorff emerged as the most successful bowler, claiming one wicket with an economy rate of four. Earlier, Australia won the toss and invited India to bat first in the third T20I of the series.
