The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a cash reward of ₹5 crore for the Indian U-19 women’s cricket team following their impressive victory in the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025. This marks India’s second consecutive title in the tournament, reinforcing their dominance in women’s cricket at the grassroots level.
The Indian team, led by head coach Nooshin Al Khadeer, triumphed over South Africa by nine wickets in the final, showcasing their strength throughout the tournament. Gongadi Trisha emerged as a standout performer, finishing as the highest run-scorer with 309 runs and contributing significantly in the final with an unbeaten 44 runs. India’s bowlers also shone, with Vaishnavi Sharma and Aayushi Shukla topping the wicket-takers list.
