BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia remains confident in India’s chances at the ICC Champions Trophy, despite JaspritBumrah’s absence. The selection committee, led by AjitAgarkar, has named HarshitRana as Bumrah’s replacement. Mohammad Shami is expected to lead the pace attack, supported by Arshdeep Singh and Hardik Pandya.

Saikia also expressed confidence in the form of senior batters Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Rohit scored a century in the second ODI against England, and Kohli made a half-century in the final ODI. Saikia noted the positive atmosphere within the team, citing the series wins against England, including a 3-0 ODI series whitewash and a 4-1 victory in the T20I series.
