Because of a personal emergency, Virat Kohli flew back to Mumbai
One of the premium batsmen of the Indian Cricket Team, Virat Kohli, had to fly back to Mumbai from Guwahati for some personal reasons while the rest of the Indian cricket team arrived in Trivandrum for their second warm-up match against the Netherlands. Though the board of control for cricket in India has not given any confirmed information about whether Kohli will miss the warm-up match, a report claims that the star batsman will return in time for the match against the Netherlands and join the teammates on October 2.
As per the statement of a source from the Board of Control for Cricket in India, “Virat went to Mumbai for some personal reasons and will re-join the team very soon.”
Kohli remains one of the pillars of the Indian team. Though the Netherlands warm-up game isn't of absolute importance, the batter would want to get some runs under his belt considering the last match against England was abandoned due to rain.
