Before IND vs ENG 2nd ODI, Indian cricketers visit Jagannath Puri Temple amid tight security
Ahead of their second ODI against England at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, Indian cricketers Washington Sundar, Varun Chakaravarthy, and Axar Patel visited the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri on Saturday to seek blessings. The players made an early morning visit to the temple, where they were escorted by security personnel, ensuring a smooth darshan of Lord Jagannath, Devi Subhadra, and Lord Balabhadra. Washington Sundar commented that "the darshan was very good".
Following their temple visit, the Indian team was scheduled to hold a net practice session at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack. Authorities implemented extensive security measures for the players' movement between Bhubaneswar andCuttack. Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police Commissioner S. Dev Datta Singh confirmed the deployment of 50 platoons of forces and issued a traffic advisory to facilitate smooth movement for both the players and the general public
India will be looking to seal the series against England in the second ODI. In the first ODI in Nagpur, India won by 4 wickets, with half-centuries from Shreyas Iyer, Axar Patel, and Shubman Gill. This series is important as India prepares for the upcoming Champions Trophy, with matches to be played in Dubai
