Both Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant's names are in the Delhi probable list Confirms DCA Secretary

On January 14, 2025, Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) secretary Ashok Sharma confirmed that both Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant have been included in the probable squad for Delhi's upcoming Ranji Trophy matches. The announcement comes as the Ranji Trophy camp is currently underway, with Delhi set to play its next match against Saurashtra on January 23, followed by a game against Railways on January 30.

Sharma urged Kohli to draw inspiration from Mumbai cricketers who consistently participate in domestic matches when available, highlighting a cultural difference in commitment to local cricket between the two regions. He expressed hope that both players would make themselves available for at least one of the remaining matches before they shift focus to preparations for the Champions Trophy.

Despite the encouragement, Sharma acknowledged that it is unlikely Kohli and Pant will play due to their busy schedules and workload management. DDCA president Rohan Jaitley echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the importance of domestic cricket while also recognizing the challenges posed by player fitness and national commitments.
