David Warner is “dead serious” on making retirement U-turn for BGT ringing alarm bells for team India

David Warner has made a surprising revelation ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024/25, indicating he is open to reversing his retirement from Test cricket. Initially, Warner announced his retirement after the Pakistan Test series in January 2024, concluding a stellar career with 8,786 runs in 112 matches. However, with Australia facing challenges in finding a suitable opener, Warner has expressed his willingness to play if required.

In a recent interview, Warner stated, "I'm always available, just got to pick up the phone," emphasizing his readiness to participate in a Sheffield Shield match to prepare for the upcoming series. Australia's recent struggles with batting form, particularly after Steve Smith's unsuccessful stint as an opener, have put pressure on selectors to consider Warner's return.

Warner's potential comeback could provide much-needed experience and stability to the Australian lineup as they prepare for a crucial five-Test series against India.
