DC to play all home matches at Arun Jaitley Stadium, No more Delhi Capitals home matches at Vizag
Delhi Capitals will enjoy a home advantage in IPL 2025, hosting all seven home matches at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. This marks a departure from the previous season when pitch preparation delays forced two home games to be relocated to Visakhapatnam.
The shift in WPL 2025 schedule plays a crucial role. Unlike last year, where the tournament concluded shortly before IPL 2024, no WPL matches will be held in Delhi this time. This allows the Arun Jaitley Stadium curators ample time to prepare the pitch for the upcoming IPL season.
The inaugural WPL season saw a caravan format, with matches initially hosted in Bengaluru before shifting to Delhi. However, this year, the tournament will be spread across four cities: Bengaluru, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Vadodara, eliminating the potential for last-minute pitch preparation challenges for the Delhi Capitals.
