Delhi Capitals beat UP Warriorz by 7 Wickets in WPL season 2025
On February 19, 2025, the Delhi Capitals defeated the UP Warriorz by seven wickets in a Women’s Premier League match in Vadodara. UP Warriorz, after being sent in to bat, posted 166 for seven, propelled by Kiran Navgire’s quickfire half-century. However, Delhi Capitals chased down the target with one ball to spare, finishing at 167 for 3.
Meg Lanning led the charge with 69 runs off 49 balls. Annabel Sutherland contributed a crucial 41 off 35 balls and also took 2/26 in bowling. Shafali Verma scored 16 off 16, while Marizanne Kapp remained not out on 19. Delhi had a strong opening partnership of 65 runs between Lanning and Verma.
For UP Warriorz, Kiran Navgire was the top scorer. Chinelle Henry’s late cameo of 33 not out off 15 balls helped UP reach their total. However, the Warriorz's sloppy fielding and dropped catches contributed to their loss. This victory was Delhi Capitals’ second win in the tournament.
