The T20I captain of Indian cricket teamSuryakumar Yadav has picked up an injury during the BuchiBabu Invitational tournament. The star middle-order batter injured his hand while fielding during the game against TNCA XI in Coimbatore. The injury has led to speculations of SKY’s participation in the Duleep Trophy, which is scheduled to commence from September 5.
As per report, Suryakumar Yadav lasted only for 38 deliveries before he was injured. The swashbuckling batter had made his comeback from an injury earlier in the year in IPL 2024 after being on the sidelines for over 5 months. Suryakumar is a part of Team C which will be led by RuturajGaikwad in the DuleepTrohpy.
Suryakumar Yadav made his debut for Mumbai way back in 2010 and has mustered 5,628 runs for a star-studded Mumbai team. While speaking, Suryakumar spoke about his motivation to play red-ball cricket.
