During MI vs RCB Jasprit Bumrah Enters Record Books With Five-Wicket Haul Against RCB

In the history of the Indian Premier League, JaspritBumrah became the first bowler to take a five-wicket haul against Royal Challengers Bengaluru and also the fourth overall to take two wickets in the tournament. On a day when most of the bowlers of the Mumbai Indians went for runs, the India pacer took the wickets of Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, MahipalLomror, Saurav Chauhan, and VijaykumarVyshak to bring up his second IPL five-wicket haul in the tournament.
James Faulkner, Jaydev Unadkat, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar are the other bowlers to have taken two five-wicket hauls in the IPL. Before the fifer of Bumrah's, the previous best by any bowler against RCB was Ashish Nehra's 4/10 for CSK in Bengaluru in 2015. With this five-wicket haul, Bumrah also shot to the top of the list for most wickets and grabbed the Purple Cap from Yuzvendra Chahal.
He also surpassed Sandeep Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja for the most wickets against RCB in the IPL. Bumrah now has 29 scalps against RCB, while both Jadeja and Sharma have 26 each. Earlier, Bumrah dismissing Kohli was the fifth time the fast bowler got ahead of the former India captain in the IPL.
