Ex-Cricketer of India Sunil Gavaskar lashes out at Shubman Gill for getting out to a rash shot

The batsman of Indian cricket team Shubman Gill once again threw away his wickets as his struggle in Tests continues. During the second day of the first Test between India and England, Gill was dismissed for 23 from 66 balls, hitting just two boundaries. Former India opener Sunil Gavaskar lashed out at the youngster for throwing his wicket away.
While commentating, Gavaskar said, “What kind of shot was he looking to play? One can understand if he was looking to play it in the air, but it was just a badly executed on-drive. He did all the hard work and then played a shot like that.”
At the end of day two, India had scored 421/7, with Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel scoring 81 and 35 runs, respectively. Prior to that, KL Rahul had scored 86, while Yashasvi Jaiswal was dismissed for 80. KS Bharat had also chipped in with 41.
