Ex Indian Opener Analyzed Sanju Samson Performance in 1st T20I against Bangladesh

Former Indian opener Aakash Chopra has analyzed Sanju Samson’s performance in the first T20I against Bangladesh, where Samson scored 29 runs off 19 balls. While praising his timing and technique, Chopra expressed concern over Samson’s inconsistency, stating, “He should score a few more runs because, otherwise, they would drop him.” He emphasized that Samson often finds himself moving in and out of the team and fluctuating in the batting order, which can hinder his development.

Chopra noted that with the retirements of key players like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, Samson has an opportunity to secure a permanent spot. He highlighted that Samson must capitalize on this chance to solidify his position in the team. Chopra remarked on the elegance of Samson’s shot-making but warned that he needs to convert starts into substantial scores to avoid being dropped.

As India prepares for the remaining matches in the series, Samson’s performance will be crucial. The pressure is on him to deliver consistent results to ensure he remains a vital part of India’s T20 setup moving forward.
