Ex wicket keeper-batter criticize PCB for lack of its Professionalism

The former wicket keeper and batsman of Pakistan cricket team Kamran Akmal has criticized the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for its lack of professionalism, urging it to learn from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Speaking on September 23, 2024, he stated that the struggles of Pakistan cricket come from poor management and a failure to maintain competitive pressure among players.

Akmal emphasized that if the PCB had implemented better practices, the national team would not be facing such turmoil, particularly after their recent Test series defeat to Bangladesh. He also highlighted the issues like player complacency and a lack of accountability, suggesting that these factors contribute to the team’s underperformance.

Akmal further pointed out the sidelining of spinners and a lack of faith in their abilities, which he believes is crucial for success in home conditions.
