Fans of the Indian Cricket Team were divided over the comeback of Ravichandran Ashwin in the first ODI against Australia
Ravichandran Ashwin had a decent comeback for India in the first ODI match against Australia in Mohali on September 22, as he finished his 10 overs with figures of 1/47. He did get a bit of stick in his first six overs, where he failed to take any wicket while giving away 36 runs, but he came back well to give away only 11 runs in his final four overs and take the wicket of Marnus Labuschagne.
The performance by Ashwin received mixed reactions from fans on X. There were some fans who were praising him for his economical bowling, whereas others felt that Ashwin was very defensive, and even the wicket he took was because of luck.
One of the fans wrote on X, "Ashwin will pick up a couple of cheap wickets after failing to pick a top-order wicket nor contain, and his fans will be like, Yeah, totally deserves to be in WC, whereas another fan praising Ashwin said, "Good comeback by Ravi Ashwin. He has been playing an ODI since January 2021. Coming against a strong Australian team, he went for 47 runs from 10 overs by taking the wicket of Labuschagne.
