Following India’s historic win in Cape Town, Sachin Tendulkar praised Jasprit Bumrah’s performance.
The legendary batter of Indian cricket team Sachin Tendulkar has heaped praise on pacer Jasprit Bumrah following India’s seven-wicket win over South Africa at the Newlands Cricket Stadium in Cape Town to level the two-match Test series 1-1.
India chased down the target of 79 runs on Day 2 to win the match by seven wickets and register their first-ever Test win in Cape Town. The match saw India bowl South Africa out for 55 runs and 176 runs while being dismissed for 153 runs in their first inning.
Following India’s win, Tendulkar took to social media platform ‘X’, saying Bumrah showed how to bowl on such wickets.
Tendulkar posted on ‘X’ “Congratulations to Team India for leveling the series! Markram’s approach was fantastic because sometimes attack is the best form of defense on a pitch like this. Well bowled by Bumrah, who showed us exactly how bowling in the channel consistently is all that’s required on such types of wickets.”
