For 1st time since ODI World Cup final, Rohit Sharma’s India leave for Narendra Modi Stadium
On November 19, 2023, Travis Head’s impressive performance led Australia to victory against India in the ODI World Cup final, held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Head’s 137 off 120 balls helped Australia beat India by six wickets.
In the final, India was bowled out for 240, and Head’s 192-run partnership with MarnusLabuschagne (58 not out) sealed the win for Australia. Head was named Player of the Match and also took a catch to dismiss Rohit Sharma.

Head has a knack for performing well in crucial matches. Earlier in June 2023, he scored a century against India in the World Test Championship final. Similarly, on September 19, 2024, Head scored an unbeaten 154 against England.
India will return to the Narendra Modi Stadium to play the 3rd ODI against England.
