For Breaching IPL Code Of Conduct, Harshit Rana Suspended For One Match And Fined 100% Of His Match Fees

The fast bowler of Kolkata knight riders Harshit Rana has been handed a one match ban along with fine of 100% of his match fees for breaching IPL code of Conduct. The action follows his conduct during the IPL clash against Delhi Capitals on Monday at the Eden Gardens.
Earlier Rana was fined 60 percent of his match fees for an incident during KKR’s first home game against Sunrisers Hyderabad. His actions involved giving a flying-kiss send-off to Sunrisers Hyderabad batter Mayank Agarwal.
During the match on Monday, Rana bowled a full-length delivery that dismantled Abhishek Porel’s stumps, displaying his bowling prowess. However, he was about to the give flying-kiss send-off again, but instead he opted for a different gesture, directing his hand towards the dugout.
The IPL statement said, “Rana committed a Level 1 offence under Article 2.5 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct. He admitted to the offence and accepted the match referee’s sanction. For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the match referee’s decision is final and binding.”
The statement further added, “The player was earlier penalised under the same level and article of the IPL Code of Conduct.”
