For IPL mega auction, BCCI releases base price of 574 players: Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul among 7 Indians in marquee sets

The much-awaited TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) Player Auction List has been released, featuring a total of 574 players for the Mega Auction, which will be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on November 24 and 25, 2024. Among the 574 players, 366 are Indian, while 208 are overseas, including three players from associate nations. The auction will also see 318 uncapped Indian players and 12 uncapped overseas players in the mix.

A total of 204 slots are available for the teams, with 70 reserved for overseas players. The highest reserve price is set at INR 2 crore, and 81 players have chosen to place themselves in this top bracket.

The two-day event will start at 12:30 PM local time on Sunday, November 24, 2024, and is expected to see intense bidding as teams look to strengthen their squads for the 2025 season. With a diverse pool of talent, including experienced internationals and promising uncapped players, the auction promises to be a key moment for IPL franchises as they seek to build a winning combination for the upcoming tournament.
