In a record-breaking performance, the Pakistan cricket team chased down a target of 353 against South Africa in the third match of the tri-series in Karachi. This is Pakistan's highest successful run chase in ODIs. Mohammad Rizwan (122*) and Salman Ali Agha (134) scored centuries, leading Pakistan to a six-wicket victory. Their 260-run partnership is the highest for Pakistan against South Africa and the highest in a chase.
However, the match was also marred by the behaviour of some Pakistani players. The ICC fined Shaheen Shah Afridi 25% of his match fee for inappropriate physical contact with South Africa's Matthew Breetzk. Saud Shakeel and Kamran Ghulam were each fined 10% of their match fees for using provocative gestures after Temba Bavuma's dismissal. All three players also received one demerit point each. The players accepted the sanctions, and there will be no formal hearing.
