For ODI series against England, Varun Chakaravarthy added to India's squad

111The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially announced the inclusion of spinner Varun Chakravarthy in India's ODI squad for the upcoming three-match series against England. This decision follows Chakravarthy's impressive performance in the recent T20I series, where he took 14 wickets, including a remarkable five-wicket haul in Rajkot, earning him the title of Player of the Series.

Chakravarthy has joined the team in Nagpur, where the first ODI will take place on February 6, followed by matches in Cuttack on February 9 and Ahmedabad on February 12. His addition strengthens India's spin department, which already includes notable bowlers like Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, and Ravindra Jadeja.

This ODI series serves as crucial preparation for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy, scheduled to be held in Pakistan and the UAE from February 19 to March 9. India will face Bangladesh in their opening match on February 20, with a highly anticipated clash against Pakistan set for February 23 in Dubai. The selectors will finalize the Champions Trophy squad based on performances during this ODI series, with Harshit Rana replacing Jasprit Bumrah for the initial matches
