The star batsman of team India, Shreyas Iyer, had positive things to say about the ‘young guns’ of team India for playing fearless cricket against Australia. India were dominant in their five-match T20I series against the Aussies, bagging a 4-1 win over them. As the series came to an end, Iyer opened up about how he was impressed with the type of cricket the youngsters displayed on home soil.
The cricketer said, “I have played with these boys, and they are filled with energy... I love being around them, and you get to learn a lot, especially the way they play fearless cricket and the attitude that they showed right from ball one."
Shreyas Iyer also talked about his routine lifestyle since the Asia Cup victory to prepare himself for the World Cup. Iyer added, “I had set a routine for myself right from match number one... I did not want any misadjustment to happen in the middle. Trainers helped me perform at the biggest stage, and I carried forward the confidence in the series.”
