After being reappointed as the white ball captain of the Pakistan cricket team, Babar Azam is going to lead a strong side. In a boost for the team, fast bowler Haris Rauf was also included in the squad after he recovered from an injury after featuring last for the team in January.
In a statement released by the Pakistan Cricket Board, they said, “This is an extremely talented and balanced side that has a mixture of youth and experience. These players have been playing together for some time and look well-prepared and settled for next month’s event.
Team Pakistan is currently playing a bilateral series against the England cricket team in preparation for the mega event, and most of the players from the squad for the bilateral series are going to travel to the Caribbean and USA for the T20 World Cup.
Pakistan cricket team is placed in group A along with India, Ireland, Canada, and co-hosts USA. They are going to play their first match against the USA on June 6 in Dallas.
