For the Boxing Day Test Against Team India Australia has announced their Playing 11

Australia confirmed their playing XI for the fourth Test against India, announcing that Travis Head has been cleared to play after overcoming a quad strain. Head’s fitness was a concern following his injury during the third Test in Brisbane, but he successfully passed a fitness test on December 25, participating in a running drill and a net session.

Captain Pat Cummins expressed confidence in Head’s readiness, stating, “Trav is good to go, he’ll play… No worries about injury.” While Head is expected to perform at full capacity, Cummins mentioned that they might manage him during fielding if needed.

In addition to Head’s return, 19-year-old Sam Konstas is set to make his Test debut, replacing Nathan McSweeney at the top of the order. Scott Boland will also rejoin the squad in place of the injured Josh Hazlewood.

This match marks a crucial moment in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series, which is currently tied at one win each for both teams. Head has been instrumental for Australia, scoring centuries in both previous Tests and leading the batting attack against India. The Boxing Day Test begins on December 26 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
