The Pakistan cricket team is finally done with their T20 World Cup 2024 preparation. After playing two T20I series against Ireland and England, respectively, they will now travel to the United States to begin their T20 World Cup campaign on June 6th.
According to a report, the Pakistan contingent is due to depart for Dallas in two groups. One group will have 19 members, including cricketers, coaches, and support staff; the other group will have 9 members.
Pakistan is only one of the two teams that will start their T20 World Cup campaign without playing any warm-up matches. Instead, they decided to play two T20I series against Ireland and England, respectively.
The three-match T20I series against Ireland was won by Babar Azam’s team. Although they lost the first match, they recovered in time to win the series 2-1.
The England series was a much tougher one for Babar Azam and his team. Two of the four-match series were washed away by rain, while England won the other two by a comfortable margin. They begin their T20 World Cup campaign against the US on June 6th.
