The star all-rounder of Zimbabwe, Sean Williams, has announced his retirement from T20 international cricket. After the conclusion of the recent five-match T20 series in Bangladesh, the left-handed batter made this decision.
Officials from Zimbabwe stated, “Williams has decided to retire from T20 international cricket and informed his teammates about his decision after the game.”
Sean Williams has played 81 T20Is for Zimbabwe, scoring 1691 runs at a strike rate of 126.38, and has also taken 48 wickets with his left-arm spin.
In T20I, Williams played his first match against Bangladesh at Khulna’s on November 28, 2006. He was part of the XI in that match, where Bangladesh won by 43 runs. Sean was also effective with the ball, taking 48 wickets at an economy rate of 9.93 in 73 innings.
