The fans of cricket in Pakistan are in for a treat as the coveted ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 trophy arrives in Islamabad for a three-day tour. This follows the trophy’s journey, which began in the United States last month.
Currently, the prestigious ICC T20 World Cup trophy is on display in front of Pakistan’s National Assembly in Islamabad, giving fans a chance to witness it up close. Cricket enthusiasts in Lahore won’t be left out either; the trophy will be showcased at the National Cricket Academy this Saturday at 4:30 PM PST.
Fans attending the final T20I match of the ongoing five-match series between Pakistan and New Zealand at the Gaddafi Stadium will be treated to a special surprise: the T20 World Cup trophy will be on display there as well.
The trophy will also make a trip to Abbottabad during its stay in Pakistan. The T20 World Cup itself gets underway on June 1st, with co-host USA taking on their arch-rivals Canada in the opening match. Fellow co-host West Indies will face off against Papua New Guinea on the second day.
