Head coach Rahul Dravid is concerned about the venue for the India vs. Pakistan match in the T20 World Cup

The head coach of Indian Cricket Team, Rahul Dravid, expressed his concern about the soft ground and spungy pitch of the Nassau County international cricket stadium in New York. Team India started their T20 World Cup 2024 journey with a victory over Bangladesh in the warm-up match. Rahul Dravid, who is the head coach of team India, praised the facility of the Nassau County international cricket stadium but also expressed his skepticism over players injuring their calves and hamstrings.

In a video released by BCCI, Dravid said, “It is great to get a good hit out. Obviously, it looks like a good facility in terms of how quickly they have put up the ground. The ground is a bit soft, and the guys could feel that on the hamstring and the calves. So that's the area we need to ensure that we are working around to make sure that the guys are looking after it; it does feel a little bit heavy underneath.”

Rahul also put forward his opinion about the wicket of the Nassau County international cricket stadium. There was a lot of talk about how the ‘drop-in’ pitch of the stadium would turn out, especially since India will be playing the high-profile match against Pakistan at the very same ground.
