Only a few minutes before the toss was to happen in the second ODI match between the India and Australia cricket teams, the board of control for cricket in India confirmed that the Star Pacer Jasprit Bumrah would not be a part of the match at the Holkar cricket stadium in Indore. Since Bumrah made his return to the Indian cricket team on the tour of Ireland, he has been under the spotlight. While the fast bowler has done well in different situations, getting him into full rhythm is crucial for the India team plan for the ODI World Cup 2023. But after India won the first ODI match against Australia, Bumrah was ruled out of the second ODI match.
He was ruled out not because of any injury concern but because the BCCI confirmed that Bumrah needed to meet his family and was given an exemption from the Indore match. However, the board also confirmed that he will be back for the third ODI between the two teams.
