Highlights of BCCI Awards 2025; Notable Winner Include Jasprit Bumrah, Sarfaraz Khan, Smriti Mandhana

The BCCI hosted the prestigious Naman Awards 2025 on February 1, celebrating outstanding achievements in Indian cricket over the past year. Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar received the Col. C.K. Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing his immense contributions to the sport.

Jasprit Bumrah was honored with the Polly Umrigar Award for Best International Cricketer (Men), following his exceptional performances, including being named Player of the Tournament in India’s victorious T20 World Cup campaign. Smriti Mandhana also shone brightly, winning the Best International Cricketer (Women) award and being recognized as the highest run-scorer in Women’s ODIs.

Other notable winners included Sarfaraz Khan, who was awarded Best International Debut (Men), and Asha Sobhana, who received the same honor in the women's category. Deepti Sharma was recognized for her outstanding bowling performance, taking the most wickets in Women’s ODIs.

The event highlighted not only individual excellence but also the collective achievements of Indian cricket, with awards spanning various categories, including domestic performances. The Mumbai Cricket Association was acknowledged for its contributions to domestic tournaments, further emphasizing the growth and talent within Indian cricket.
