Highlights of Day 1 of 5th Test Match between India and Australia

On the opening day of the fifth Test against Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground, India was bowled out for just 185 runs. After a shaky start, where they fell to 57 for 3, the Indian batting lineup managed to recover to 107 for 4 at tea. However, they lost their final six wickets for a mere 78 runs in the last session. Rishabh Pant was the standout performer for India, scoring 40 runs off 98 balls, while Scott Boland was the star bowler for Australia, claiming four wickets for 31 runs.

In response, Australia ended the day at nine for one, with JaspritBumrah dismissing Usman Khawaja on the last ball of the day. The match saw Rohit Sharma resting himself from the lineup, leading to speculation about his future as captain. Bumrah stepped in as captain and opted to bat first after winning the toss.
