Honest revelation of Ruturaj on captaining Dhoni and Jadeja in IPL 2024
It is quite difficult for a young player to lead the team, which has veterans like Mahendra Singh Dhoni, RavindraJadeja, and AjinkyaRahane. But still, Ruturaj Gaikwad has impressed several players with his leadership qualities as he led the CSK squads in the 2024 IPL season. It was right before the start of the tournament that CSK announced a change in captaincy, with Dhoni passing the baton to Ruturaj. When the captain was asked about the difficulty of leading such players, he gave a very honest reply.
Gaikwad said, “I felt good right from the start of the tournament. I am very approachable for all teammates whenever needed, and they always support the team in whatever way the team requires.”
“I would not say it is difficult, as all of them are very understanding. All the senior players that are a part of the team are great to have, and their experience always helps with the match situations.”
Gaikwad also shows a very similar come and go on the field that people have seen from Dhoni for so many years. The captain of CSK revealed that being neutral is something he learned from Dhoni, and now he does not get too excited about victories or too low about losses.
