Huge remark of Boucher on Hitman’s further in Mumbai Indians
The head coach of Mumbai Indians, Mark Boucher, on Friday failed to provide a definitive answer to a burning question that has been raging for the last few days: Did Rohit Sharma play his last game for Mumbai Indians on Friday? Boucher did not give a specific answer to the question, referring to Rohit as the master of his own destiny.
After the final group stage game of MI against the Lucknow Super Giants, where they lost by 18 runs, Boucher was asked about the future of Rohit for the franchise.
Boucher said although he had a conversation with Rohit Sharma about the IPL 2024 season, Rohit made it clear he was focusing on the T20 World Cup 2024 for now.
Boucher said, “There hasn’t been much discussion about Rohit’s future. I spoke to him the night before, just sort of a review of the season. When I asked him what’s next for Rohit Sharma, he said ‘World Cup’. That’s perfect; that’s all I need to know about. For me, he is the master of his own destiny. It’s a big auction next year; who knows what’s going to happen next year? We’ll take each day as it comes.”
