In a low-scoring thriller match of the T20 World Cup, Uganda beat Papua New Guinea by 3 wickets

The Uganda cricket team created history by winning the ICC T20 World Cup match against Papua New Guinea, played at the Providence Stadium in Guyana. The Brian Masaba-led side defeated Papua New Guinea by three wickets and achieved their first-ever victory in the history of the T20 World Cup. It was a low-scoring thriller between both teams, wherein Uganda first wrapped up PNG for 77 runs, whereas chasing down the target wasn’t easy for the Cricket Cranes, and they achieved the target with just three wickets in hand. Riazat Ali Shah (33) was the hero of the match for Uganda, as he played an important knock to take his team home.
