In Abu Dhabi T10 League Faf and Buttler dazzle, boosting DC and GT hopes, RCB’s bowler struggles

The IPL 2025 mega auction concluded recently, with teams finalizing their rosters ahead of the tournament set to begin in March. Among the highlights, South African batter Faf du Plessis has been exceptional in the ongoing T10 League, scoring 191 runs in just five matches at an impressive strike rate of 238.75, making him the league’s highest run-scorer. Delhi Capitals secured him for ₹2 crore, and he is expected to open the batting for them.

Gujarat Titans also have reasons to celebrate, as their recent acquisition, Jos Buttler, has shown outstanding form. He has scored 174 runs in five T10 matches, averaging 87 with a strike rate of 228.4, making him the second-highest scorer in the league. Buttler is anticipated to don the gloves for Gujarat and likely open alongside Shubman Gill.

In contrast, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) faced disappointment with their new signing, Sri Lankan pacer NuwanThushara, who has struggled in the T10 League. In four matches, he has taken only five wickets with an economy rate of 11.62.
